NBA 2K27 brings major updates across MyPLAYER, gameplay and the game’s biggest modes on PlayStation 5. For the first time, male and female MyPLAYERs use the same build framework and can compete together across co-ed environments including The REC, The Theater, Park, Ante-Up and the new Crew HQ.
The City introduces new ways to build and customize your MyPLAYER, including a new badge token system, Physicals specialization and previewable Cap Breakers. The NBA 2K HQ mobile app also lets you create and adjust builds on your phone and transfer them directly to your console or PC.
On the court, over 7,000 new ProPLAY animations improve movement and advanced controls, including no-look passes and skill-based ankle breakers. Defense has been redesigned with new hands-up options, reworked bump steals and an eight-tier contest system, while offensive improvements include a new step-through mechanic, expanded dribbling controls, a redesigned Dunk Meter and enhanced Rhythm Shooting.
MyCAREER features a longer cinematic story, historical MyCAREER Eras and a new co-op experience. MyNBA expands into a 100-year franchise experience with GM Trust, free agency promises, dynamic Big 3s, modern CBA updates and No-Trade Clauses. MyTEAM also receives a new Player XP system, redesigned features and rotating multiplayer modes, with a unified Auction House across supported current-generation platforms.
